@lucidx1 It was chased up the tree by the big bear. It was up there scared and hiding like the hunters. Once it climbed down it was chased off again by the big bear. The big bear that runs at the tree is not the one that climbed it.

The bear obviously noticed them. He displays ruffed up hair on his back as he is charging toward the tree. He is not playing or casually inspecting. This is turf protection behavior. This place down there looks like a bait station that local bears try to control (see the bigger dude moving in at the end).
