  • The Germans build pretty good mousetraps. Glad we recruited Von Braun after WWII.

    • @Martyr_Machine Even if he was Sturmbannfuehrer in the SS and wore the Knights Cross with Oak leaves & Swords? What about Mittelbau concentration camp, where his rockets were built (of course, he never knew...)

    • @Uac_mitun_ahau

And what about Misubishi using slave labor during WWII?

      What is your point?

    • @Martyr_Machine Japan and Germany were the bad guys in WWII. So they did really bad things during WWII. So far, so good.
But the U.S. threw all moral concerns overboard when it employed people like Wernher von Braun - AFTER WWII, when everybody knew what the Nazis did.

Oh, the Nazis were really, really bad... but then, if they can work for us and share some of their Nazi expertise, we really, really don't care.

I don't think that it is a secret that sometimes you have to do bad things for the greater good.

That technology led to our space program and more.

    • @Martyr_Machine Oh wonderfull. So there might have been a chance for Mengele or Hoess, if the U.S. would've thought they were of use. Why, the Gestapo had plenty of expertise dealing with communist spies - wouldn't have McCarthy been happy to offer a job for Himmler, or Heydrich?

They might still have been able to do some "greater good" for the U.S., right?

  • That driver is rather strange looking. I can just imagine him humming along "mmmmm she blinded me with science"

  • Looks like a very nice tank, probably not built because of some logistical details.
