Live-in Partner Hires Killers To Get Woman Murdered

The Haryana Police has claimed to have cracked the Delhi-Agra highway murder in which body of a 38-year-old woman was found near Palwal two weeks ago. Police have alleged that the murder was masterminded by her live-in partner, who had earlier claimed to be the victim's husband.
Thirty-eight-year-old Satvinder was found dead near Palwal on the Delhi-Agra highway two
weeks ago. Mukesh Lakhanpal, who was Satvinder's live-in partner, had claimed innocence saying robbers killed the woman. But claiming a breakthrough in the case, police have said that Lakhanpal, who is the chief of circulation of a well-known business magazine, had hired
killers to get Satvinder murdered.

"He killed Satvinder with the help of his friend Yogesh. He paid Yogesh Rs 2.5 lakh to get Satvinder killed," said SP (Palwal) Jagat Singh Hooda. Police said that though Lakhanpal was living with Satvinder for some time now, he was still in touch with his first wife and their children. Police suspect that he would have got Satvinder killed as he was not able to cope with the
pressure of running two houses.
