A 12-year-old boy named Graeme Frost read a statement supporting the expansion of the SCHIP program during the Democratic weekly radio address. When Graeme and his sister Gemma were recovering from a near fatal car accident, the CHIP program helped his family with medical bills.

Rightwing bloggers -- lead by bigwigs Rush Limbaugh, Michelle Malkin, and Mark Steyn -- responded by demonizing the Frost family, aided and abetted by staffers in Minority Leader Mitch McConnell's (R-KY) office who encouraged rightwing bloggers to spread lies about the Frost family�s income.

An anonymous poster at freerepublic.com posted the Frost's phone number and home address online. Michelle Malkin bragged about driving past their house to guestimate its value. A poster at redstate.com said, "Hang 'em. Publically. Let 'em twist in the wind and be eaten by ravens. Then maybe the bunch of socialist patsies will think twice." The Frosts have been getting harassing phone calls and death threats.
