Bain was not just buying up bankrupt companies. They bought quality American companies and sold them out.
Read this online debate to give yourself a better picture.
You can say, "well it's all about making money" but to whose benefit, the layedoff American work force? If you're solely profiting off of deals made with China, at the expense of the American people, you have to question whose side they are on.
