Jessica Simpson was caught up in the middle of a brawl while she was shopping at the weekend (20-21Jan06), when a security guard charged at over-zealous paparazzi.

The pop star/actress was walking around a Los Angeles shopping centre when a mall security officer took offence at photographers, who ignored his demands to back off Simpson and let her shop in peace.
