On the bright side, the boat can easily pass hull inspection.

Crane didnt collapse......the sling in the front slid towards the back, rigging was way too short because the cranes were undersized and didnt have the boom length or capacity.

@The Grim
I think that would be a bit too long for a title. Anyway I think you got the idea.

@ProofOfPurchase No its fine man, doing this crap is like an art anyway I wouldnt expect people to know how it happened. Took me a few tries. All I know is that rigging isnt fun and it happens to a lot of guys over their careers, the only thing you hope is what you drop isnt expensive and nobody gets hurt.

@The Grim im not an expert but i have seen many yachts destroyed this way... why is there only two independent straps? why isn't there a strap going from the front of the boat length wise to the back securing the big straps so that the yacht wont have a chance to slip out

@FreedomFighter009 Someone would have to physically go underwater to unhook the strap unless they have enough room to pull them out which is a pain in the ass and plus it wouldn't help anyway, the slings slid towards each other, if they slid away from each other then that middle sling would help. When we didn't have a load centered you would put it back down and redo it as many times as it took. Longer rigging helps cradle the load and squeeze the boat so they don't slide

@The Grim "the slings slid toward each other" that's why i said the middle strap should be secured to the front of the boat all the way to the back crossing and securing those two independent straps to so the slings cant move to or away from each other
