BREAKING: Cyclist Wouter Weylandt Dies In Horrible Crash (Graphic)
In stage 3 of the 2011 Giro d'Italia, Wouter crashed coming down the Passo del Bocco, near the town of Mezzanego, suffering catastrophic injury. It is reported that cardiac massage was carried out for around 25 minutes, and that he was given adrenaline and atropine. He was airlifted off the descent approximately 25 minutes after his fall. All the resuscitation attempts failed and the sportsman died on-the-spot.

during the live show they showed a closup of his face for like 5sec before they realised what they were showing. I think it was even before they medics arrived. was really horrible to see

MILAN - Belgian cyclist Wouter Weylandt died Monday after a high-speed downhill crash at the Giro d'Italia, the first death in a major cycling race in 16 years.
The 26-year-old rider fell during a descent more than 12 miles from the finish in northern Italy. He lay motionless and bleeding heavily on the roadside before paramedics removed his helmet and tried to resuscitate him.
"He was unconscious with a fracture of the skull base and facial damage," Giro doctor Giovanni Tredici said More..

@atemlos All the pros that ride here, for training, ride like assholes. Almost none of them have any etiquette for sharing the road with the cars and trucks or for obeying the rules of the road. Bunch of fucking dickheads. I hope sport cycling is banned.
