on the beach. Possible oiled jelly fish deformities.

On February 17, 2012, the
U.S. House of Representatives passed a Bill that will allow for the drilling of
oil off of the shores of Florida. As you can see, we're still recovering from
an oil spill that took place three states away. Please sign a petition opposing
H.R. 3410 (before the Senate votes) at http://www.popvox.com/bills/us/112/hr3410" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">www.popvox.com/bills/us/112/hr3410.

  • While I agree with your sentiment, nothing in your vid has anything to do with the BP oil spill. The "foam" happens nearly every day - it's a tide line. The "missing" dunes are from Hurricane Opal, Frederick or any number of other storms that have rolled through. I grew up on that beach and it's looked like that for a long time.

    • @Framistan - do you live here? I do. Those dunes were taken out this fall. And it wasn't a storm that took it out (or it would take them all out) A line of foam floating out deep in the Gulf in a straight line is NOT natural! Jesus, I feel like I'm talking to a class of 5th graders. duh

  • Drill baby drill!

Im quite tired of depending on foriegn oil at sky high prices. It's time we fend for ourselves and tap our own resources.

I'll put it to you this way. We drill for our own oil, then we need refineries for that oil, with refineries come jobs, with jobs comes a stronger economy, with a stronger economy, drilling for our own oil without importing comes cheaper fuel prices, cheaper fuel prices creates more people traveling, traveling creates even more money put back into the economy, putting more money into the economy creates a country of people that live better, have more, complain less and appreciate what they More..

I got one for you. Last year, what country exported an average of 170 million gallons of refined fuel - each day? The United States of America. I know there is the law of supply and demand, but seems like these fuel prices are being inflated in a convoluted way. BTW, if we don't tap our resources, other countries will.

    • @GanjaGrower - then you tell me what it is we we're looking at? I'm only guessing. See that's the problem - whatever it is, it does not belong there.

  • Good on them passing the bill to allow drilling. WE NEED THE OIL!

  • I live just down the road from Pensacola, and everything is just fine here. It has been since the clean-up. It was way over-hyped then, and, as this vid shows, is starting to be again because of the bill. The economic collapse after the spill was 1 part oil and 1 part media.

    • @joe prole - Joe, I KNOW, you KNOW that isn't true. Only a fool would state otherwise. I would be more than happy to walk a mile on any streach of beach on Santa Rosa Island and point out the oil to you.

  • Hard to pin this on BP. There are so many sources of oil seepage and trash being tossed.

  • It the bird with the cold leg suppose to mean something ?

    Posted Feb-18-2012 By

    • @tncobra It's the bird with the sore leg, that swam down to the well head, pecked it open , so he could release the oil , to crystalize the jellyfish , that caused the foam line ,so that he could better eat them .

    • @tncobra - no dude. It serves as a reminder of who we share this area with.
