Provocative? LOL. Since when is protecting shipping lanes a "provocative" action? I suppose you would rather the cargo ships fend for themselves? Pfffft. Come on, I know you're smarter than that. I know YOU know that oil tankers and platforms are, and have been, prime targets for terrorism. Terrorists regularly attack the oil infrastructure in and ar More..

exactly. the US boats were probably in or extremely close to iranian waters, and seeing that its pretty much a sure thing that the US will attack Iran at some point i think they have every right to try and hinder the US' scouting missions into iranian terri More..
Yep.. Americans steam a battle group into someone else's backyard...yet again.... and cry, Agression!, when the locals try and push back. Think it's a coincidence in timing? Bush is about to go over and kiss Israeli ass ( and be "briefed" about possible strikes by Israel on Iran) and a so-called aggressive move by Iran takes place? LOL where have we seen this B-grade movie before...."
yall are dumba**es the ships were going threw the Strait of Hormuz which 20% of the worlds oil supply passes. The US navy has been protecting shipping lanes there for years. The Strait is 20 something miles wide and has countless warships pass threw it. Iran made a clear move against a US warship and some how you blame America? have you ever heard of international waters? maybe if you get your head out of your a** and stop blindingly hating America you will understand. psh... so you will not defend your brainless statement? so who the hell cares where I live? southern U.S. education? oh that education in which I made straight A's in college and now I run my own business? maybe if you spend less time worrying about where I live and what my education is you might have enough time to get an education yourself. Who knows you might even get your head out of your a**. yall hear what I am saying :) "

  • Iran tried it on back in March of last year.

15 British Sailors were captured and paraded on Iranian TV for 'espionage'.

They claimed that we were in Iranian water's, when really we were in Iraqi waters with GPS and Satelite readings to prove it.

They are doing it on purpose, it is the IRANIANS fault!

I think you need a geography lesson. Go look at the Strait of Hormuz on a map. Of course the U.S. ships were close to Iranian waters... at it's smallest point the Straight of Hormuz is only about 20 miles wide. But all of this is beside the point. There are no "scouting" missions going on in the Straight, and the US does NOT purposely venture into Iranian territory,so stop with the BS. About 20 percent of the worlds oil supply passes through the Straight. the US Navy has been tasked with protecting those shipments, and platforms. That is it."
    Y More..
As a matter of fact, I do.

do you realy feel hated if someone only critisizes you? simply leave iran alone and we are all happy."
I don't feel hated personally... You are just saying the same things the other Anti-Americans always say. I simply call it like I see it. Iran IS being left alone. As a matter of fact, the relationship between Iran and the US was begining to get more friendly in the last week or so. Then, they go and ruin everything by threatening other naval vessels in International waters.

  • Passed over the box without incident? And what if there was an incident and the box blew a hole in the ship? Is that what it takes for a military response? The Irani feeler worked just fine as now they will be able to approach any ship they wish in preparation for a coordinated attack. Job "not well done" here.

  • Hmmm. What I see is not good. I'll wait to see and hear more. But some of the fog is dissapating... and it seems Iranian vessels were intent on making a point. I still wonder if Theran actually authorized this. The ship appear to be in the shipping channel. Better not happen again... or there will be serious serious trouble.

Not in this case. It's not like they are lurking just outside the territorial limit adjacent to the nuke plant... or their sub base at Char Bar. This is the Straights of Hormuz... where US naval vessels have been going back and forth in force since 1943. Not is this some CVBG. This is a cruiser a destroyer and a frigate. It's not like they are going to sink Ir More..

Russian submarines and warship ROUTINELY steamed off the coast of the US and Canada just, JUST outside territorial waters for decades so the ONLY "stupid" here is you. Man get an education!

  • Its simple.

WHO GETS BENNEFIT from this incident? Iran whants a war with USA? i think NOT.

USA wants a war with Iran? YES.

So is VERY VERY VERY possible that the USA over react or simply create this incident.

Like they did it in WW1 with Lusitania sunk by Germans.

    • If you cant see that IRAN and Russia are both provoking war right now then your just a TOOLBAG and should think about pulling your head out of your ass.

Welcome to the fight. We have a lot of people to educate. How we going to do it? They will never listen to us. If we kill them all, it makes us one of them, sort of.
