    • @Arizona_Patriot Thats what I was thinking....best case, the dog stinks up the house and its owners, worse case, the skunk was rabid and the dog has to be destroyed...either way. Stupid owners for sure.

  • My guess, the owner doesn't know how hard it is to get those chemicals out of a dog's coat. Dog's fur will smell for months.

  • I'm guessing they've never had to try and remove that smell. It's not as easy as a bath. It's kind of a shitty thing to LET the dog get skunked. I'm hoping it jumps into their car or their bed before they have a chance to wipe too much off.

  • I like how afterwards the skunk stays watching the dog perhaps thinking "The dumb fuck dog...you won't do that again, huh? hehehe"

  • I've had my fair share of encounters with skunks. Caught a baby one with a bucket once (on purpose ... LOL). Wow. Even the little ones pack a punch.

  • The dog is smarter then the owner is.
It knows better that to fuk with skunk's.

Those Asshole's set that dog up to get sprayed by a skunk just to get a video.

  • You can't judge without knowing the context of the video. If there's a skunk problem in our area and your dog fucks with them, he's gonna get sprayed no matter what. Looks like the owners letting him get sprayed by a baby skunk, like a vaccination causing him to not mess with more. It would be better to have him sprayed by a small one and wash him right away then to have him one day come home and destroy your house with stench, or soaked by multiple or even bitten, wouldn't it?

    • @Onefastdaytona

      Exactly.

I once lived on Grand Island, an island in the Niagara River near Buffalo, NY. That entire island was, at the time, completely infested with skunks. By the time we lived there, fortunately our dog had already had a couple of skunk encounters and had learned her lesson. She'd chase them off, but carefully from a distance, and never risked the spray again.

Many dog owners in the area made a point of letting their dogs get sprayed. There was no way to avoid it happe More..

  • When I was younger my german shepherd got sprayed by a skunk after my dad let her out for a morning piss. She bolted back inside, straight to my parents bed, and rolled around on it before we could get her outside. Could still smell skunk after a few weeks.

  • This has to be the most fuckin retarded dog owner I have ever come across..... To let your dog get nailed by a skunk shows me his complete lack of disregard for his pet and his fuckin inane ability as the dogs master. When a dog gets sprayed by a skunk its like a human being bear mased. It would be difficult for the animal to breath for the first five minutesand clearly you can see the animals distress. This aside, the fact that they'll stink like shit for weeks to come tells me the guy isnt t More..

    • @rapo_59 Sir, if I may, skunks have been spraying animals in self-defense for thousands and thousands of years prior to your arrival here. The learning process for us all is often fraught with peril. Those lessons teach the best.

      Uncomfortable? Yes.
      Malodorous? Yes.
      Abusive? No.

My guess is, that dog will never mess with another skunk again in it's life. An all-natural, ultimately harmless biological deterrent.

...too bad we don't have such glands, frankly. Would cut down on gun and More..

    • @MoonWitch Thats not what I'm talking about....Its not about the skunk, its about the moron dog owner who shows no regard for his pet......Would you allow a child to run up to a skunk and play with it.....No!....So why would you allow your dog to do the same....Who gives a rats ass about the skunk and there defensive biological deterrent.... You wouldnt give a child that life lesson....or then again if your a complete moron like your response, maybe you would!

      Posted Apr-29-2012 By

      (0) | Report

    • @rapo_59 Absolutely I would. I absolutely would. If I told my child, "Don't mess with that, I'm telling you" and he didn't listen, I promise you that is a lesson I will not have to re-teach and bonus, because next time they'll be that more likely to listen to me.
