  • I planted 5 appletrees and in the veggie garden I planted peas, potatoes, red onions, and guess what I had 2 inches of snow to remove first.

  • Gardeners of the world unite! I love the way that one guy calls us geezers. Boring? Nothing is more fulfilling than being outside and working the earth, nothing more exciting than slaughtering your own animals and processingthem for food, nothing mor rewarding than knowing that what I am raising is not full of chemicals. I love being a "boring geezer" if that's the case and make zero apologies.
BTW, just wait until food prices hit the ceiling. You'll be wanting a Stiggy squash or Sti More..

  • This is a great idea Stiggy, all i have done to my garden so far this year is pull up the tomato stakes from last year. So what i will try to do is make a video or slide show of my garden and the steps i take getting it together. My wife and i raised rabbits for a few years and i kept all the droppings in a huge pile to use on my garden being that it seems to be lacking something over the years.
Take care and thanks for making this video and getting me in the mood to get off my butt and start More..

  • I moved into a new house (a true cottage) about a month ago, and on my kitchen window ledge I have got:
3 kinds of Marigolds, mesembryanthemum, Nicotiana (yeah, tobacco) Impatiens, phlox, geraniums, nasturtiums, 6 different types of Sweet pea, Cosmos, Busy lizzie, petunia.

I'm going for colour, and lots of it!

I'm growing some cat detterent Coleus to keep the neighbour's cat from pissing on my veg tubs!

I am doing some guerilla gardening in my derelict neighbour's garden. I'm using Calendu More..
