Gunmen hold hundreds hostage, kill dozens in mosque attacks in Lahore, Pakistan
RussiaToday — May 28, 2010 — Police in the Eastern Pakistani city of Lahore have freed one of two mosques captured by militants on Friday. At least thirty people were killed during the shooting, as terrorists continue to hold hostages in the other building. A group of gunmen attacked two busy mosques, throwing in grenades before opening fire on those praying inside. The Taliban has claimed responsibility for the attacks, according to Pakistani media.
