Safe Mode: On
Voter ID Will Allow Romney to Win Pa.

And it is official, the straight truth from House Republican Leader Mike Turza of Pa. on why the case for Voter ID, is a "good" thing.

oh and before you get all uneasy and go blabbering baseless aqusations in the comments section for voter fraud, just remember that not ONE case of voter fraud has ever been reported in the state or investigated in the state of Pennsylvania. The state even signed a stipulation agreement with lawyers that acknowledges “there have been no investigations or prosecutions of in-person voter fraud in Pennsylvania; and the parties do not have direct personal knowledge of any such investigations or prosecutions in other states.”

  • There have been no investigations into bribaries recieved by current American politicians either, does that mean its not happening?

Having an ID to vote should be a must, especially if the DMV will provide you one free of charge if you cant afford one.

  • Good about time! Those screaming bloody murder dont seem to do that when they need ID to drive, by booze cigarettes, get into a bar/club, apply for govt aid or get on a plane! Only in the US would you have disgusting ppl crying foul for requiring ID to vote yet are silent any other time.

Im sure Holder will step in as usual and then go cry to BHO to issue an EO to override. Everything they are doing as of late are like hit and runs to get votes.

    • @Diverdanm You see nothing wrong in a system that is MEANT to keep some citizens from voting with some bogus ID requirement?

Is that the state of voter Freedom in America? The Founding Fathers must be turning in their graves.

  • And just what IS WRONG with showing an I.D. to vote?

Voter fraud happens more often that you think.

The first time I registered to vote? I was at a "Rock The Vote" event. AND take a wild guess what happened on Election Day???? Yup, apparently my mistake was registering Republican (not to be confused with super conservative) My name was NOT on the voter roll in the county where I could legally vote. I even drove back 25 miles to where I was raised (Cook County, Chicago -> *hmmmm*) More..

    • @weirdpyramid Of course! I was over one year into buying my first home (and i'm sure you may know what goes into buying a home - Getting a mortgage, call the electric, gas, phone companies, get a new drivers license, new plate sticker renewal, property tax bills etc etc etc...)

It was not a simple mistake and it was a big deal.

To be fair, both Republican and Democratic election judges that night (early 90's) did their best making phone calls to verify my voter status. The Fuck? My voter legal More..

  • There is no voter fraud problem, there is only modern-day Jim Crow and those who pretend it is "helping" democracy. You know all this does is disenfranchise LEGAL citizens who would vote for the guy you don't support.

Everything else is just smoke, mirrors and a heavy dose of BS.

  • You should have to prove residency with ID to Register to vote but you don't
As ACORN found out and taught, anyone can register numerous times with names like D Duck or Mickey Mouse. All you have to do is sign that attest that all the statements are true.
Current non id registration gave us Obama.
    and.......
Why do all the dead voters vote Democrat?
Because all the Dems have to do is make up a lie about Republicans and voter ID and the media runs with it.
    Stuck on Stupid.
You wanna have some fu More..

  • Pennsylvania says that I can use my PA driver's license as a form of ID to vote.

I didn't pay to take a test for operating a vehicle to exercise my right to vote, not to mention the renewal payments. To pay to vote is ILLEGAL!

I should be able to write my drivers license off as a tax deduction every time I use it for voting purposes. Driving is a privilege, not a right.

A PA resident should be given a photo ID for FREE, in order to vote (for the purpose of voting), even if they already h More..

  • You need an Id to register to vote, so it's not like it is restricting anyone from voting that already couldn't. The state will issue you a free Id if you want to vote, so it's not like they are trying to make you buy anything. I have personally heard people "brag" about voting multiple times. I am in full support of voter Id laws..

  • Romney looks like Satan to me. El Diablo. Look at his psychopathic eyes, it is almost as if laser beams are ready to shoot out of them. Look at his smile, it is truly horrifying to behold. The sadistic smile seems to be present whether he is happy, or angrily answering a question. The world will end in 2012, if he wins that is.

  • Now, if that's a law Pennsylvania will be forced to provide transportation to and from the registrars office or a local DMV in accordance with the Federal Right to Vote act. Why the fuck would that be a good idea? It sounds kind of backwards considering their budget crunch.

  • Well, he's hoping to win the state of Pennsylvania. It's neither a swing state nor is it a Republican state... That state has gone Democrat by an average margin of nearly 6% over the past three presidential elections... Obama won it by a 10% margin.. I think Turzai was just speaking in Pennsylvania.. NBD...

  • You need ID to:
    - drive a car
    - get married
    - buy alcohol/beer
    - open a bank account
    - buy tobacco products
    - enter some government buildings

But not to vote... seems weird to me. Always has. When I went to vote the first time I was NOT asked for ID. I have never been asked for ID. These people crying about not having ID or not being able to get ID are just LAZY and must have no life. Unless they are breaking the law and driving without a drivers license. How are they getting welfare or social More..

    • @ZuraX I am just south of Sixty. I stopped showing my ID to buy beer.
I load up a couple of cases and when the clerk asks for "my id" I refuse to show it.
When they say it is store policy I tell them to tell the manager when he has to restock this non-sale.

  • Listen up liberal fucktards, if I have to show my ID to verify that the credit card that I use to pay for my movie tickets is actually my credit card, then we sure as hell should have to show ID to be able to vote in a GODDAMN PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION!

    • @weirdpyramid You have no fucking clue. Here are some rights:
      1. To serve on a jury
      2. Bring family members to the United States.
      3. Obtain citizenship for children born abroad.
      4. Travel with a U.S. passport.
      5. Run for federal office.

So tell me, which of these do you NOT need an ID for?

Also, I have the Right to keep and bear arms, but if I don't have an ID, guess what? I CAN'T BUY FUCKING ARMS! So, are you saying that I shouldn't need an ID to buy guns? Because, as you said, it's my right More..
