  • I still wholeheartedly support the US invasion, but the major blunder was to dissolve the Iraqi army and secret service.. Out went the nationalist Ba'athist henchmen, in came the islamic al qaeda-style henchmen.. I agree, it's easy to say what went wrong, we have to get out of this mess - but only with honour!
The Japanese self-proclaimed armchair general who made this vid doesn't know jack shit, but that short view of the girl was really funny, hehe..

And thats something to be proud of? Hell, Germany took all of Western Europe in less than a few months.

What he was trying to say is the US didn't plan beyond entering the country and taking Baghdad. Shows how much you know kid, if you c More..

  • They should have sent troops right away to secure the entire country, every major cities and to all sides of the borders. Saudi Arabia and Syria would have been okay. Same with Iran.....I cant believe they had 1 straight supply line from Kuwait to Baghdad.....

They left that giant area of the country with no U.S. presence for months. I think at some point Anbar Province was without U.S. or U.K. presence for 2 years. Thats when Fallujah was hit by units of the 1st and 3rd Marine division and s More..

  • hehe, what an armchair general..
The US should have captured the oil fields and leave the rest of that rotten country to the militias, divide and rule, that was the only way to gain some kind of honourable victory... Now they're deep in the shit and they get sucked in deeper and deeper by the day..

  • Mission goals were to capture the major cities ant to engage and decisively defeat the standing Iraqi army and to kill or capture the regime. Based upon those goals the invasion was a fantastic success. Clearly with Hind-sight some things could have been done better but really what the hell are you on about? May I ask what army you%u2019re a General in? Judging by your accent you%u2019ll be from one of the central/southern European Countries that were too scared to help out. Go back to play More..

  • Open, honest opinion. You know what they say, "Hindsight is always 20/20." Its very easy to look back and say what should have been done. The question today is "What do we do today, not 4 years ago?"

  • also the amount of troops it wold take to secure all the cities and borders the US doesnt have enough troops to do that . the main prob was that all the local police in every major city just up and left their post imo

  • What an ignorant ass you are. Read any of Bob Woodwards' books on the subject and you will know that Franks asked for 450,000 troops and Rumy & Bush gave him 1/3 that. The US military are all heros. Bush is an idiot, a liar and a traitor!
And, oh, by the way: I protested the invasion since 10/02... Saddam was a threat to world stability but containment was working! L'il w. should've listened to his daddy who knew & said that invading Iraq was a stupid idea that would lead to an op More..

  • You dont split your forces in the face of the enemy. Take out the head or the command and control and you break the enemy's back. The command and control was in Baghdad that's why this was the main goal of the American military. Airborne troop drops along the supply line is a good idea as this would disrupt insurgents who are attacking the supply line.
