Quick shout to DeltaEpsilon and Hotjobs...
I notice patterns sometimes... I noticed that both of you guys use Tony's, and that both of you are very good cooks. So I'm giving it a taste test. I had never heard of it before, I've been using Pappy's for years... so... We'll see...

Hey, thanks for the shout out, Ramsey.
It's all Sloop's fault! He hooked me on Tony's =)
I usually don't use seasoning mixes, I rather combine the seasoning myself, but I was pretty stoked about the variety of flavors depending on the food you use it on. And I love the extra spice too.
Still I'ma go get me some Slap Ya Mama somehow ;)
Cheers

Dont think sloop didn't take credit already. No suprise to me. I usualy use different spices depending on the meal and my mood as well... But for a toss some meat in the oven meal I like those because I dont have to think about it. Thats why I didnt do a cooking your say really cuz it was a boring meal and Dinner was running late. My son climbed into his high chair with a fork 20 minutes before it was done!

@RAMSEY44 Tony's is just salt, pepper, and cayenne mixed together. Sort of a shorthand for Cajun cooks who constantly use all three anyway.
Liveleak challenge: pronounce his last name.

@RAMSEY44 The Red Beans and Rice is just like Grandma used to make. About as authentic as it gets. Too bad I can't find a good seafood gumbo, but I managed to make one that was close.

@RAMSEY44 Yea i agree. You can over spice things with Tony's. When i put it on fish, i put very little or i cant even taste the fish flavor.

Can someone send some of this to me? I asked Hotjobz about it and now that RAMSEY44 is using it, I must try it, but it's not available in my part of the world. Hook up a fellow cook and I'll make a cooking video. :P

The last time I had Pappy's was a good fifteen years ago. Then I was introduced to Tony's Creole seasoning... I've never looked back. Tony's for the win!

Pappy's is made here in my town and its everywhere, meat markets, grocery stores and liquor stores...
