I hear that stuff every week over in Bangladesh (the Brick Lane area of east London) where they have a dispensation from Tower Hamlets council to play a tape from the east London mosque for about 45 seconds or so about once daily, usually at lunchtime. It sounds and is so out of place. it's creepy and not nice at all.
