  • What Georgia needs is Solar, geo-thermal and wind power generation investment.

They can easily be energy independent and sell electricity to Armenia and Turkiye.

But obviously the Nabucco plan, and Baku pipelines are a huge stake up for fight here.

Peace and better life to the Georgian and S. Ossetian children..

  • Thanks for posting this Biggles. Gives everyone a look at a Russian rescue. I suppose when you rescue a few thousand people it is Okay to kill 5 times as many. The children crying tells you how good a shape it is.

  • Refugees from Osettia but the Russian 'peacekeepers' aren't doing any ethnic cleansing , right . According to the Russians everyone in Osettia wanted to break away from Georgia and required Russian protection .

    • That's actually true though. 90% of Ossetians voted for autonomy in a referendum held in 2007. But I suppose that isn't going to stop the Georgians from taking a de facto independent territory, because they can always count on their best friend the U.S, wouldn't they?
