While news crews were in Pontiac their cameras captured this scene, where police were forced to use tasers to control a man after he had been driving wildly.
Just after 2:00 p.m. a young man was spotted darting in and out of traffic. Pontiac Police responded and gave chase. Officers later told Action News that the man had jumped out of his sister's car for no apparent reason and began running through traffic.
A number of officers eventually wrestled him to the ground. He struggled as the officers tried to put handcuffs on him, they eventually used tasers. The man was tased a total of five times as he kept fighting officers. In the end it took six officers to subdue him.
The man was taken into custody, but not arrested. He was taken to St. Joesph's hospital for examination.
