Water Boy
A dramatisation of the cooling system of an automobile's engine showing how water circulated around the cylinders cooling them and in turn being cooled by air drawn through the radiator.
another superb How-it-works film from long before the genre became popular, utilising the new Western Electric Sound System and state-of-the-art graphics..

Cleaner, I don't know where you get these from and I don't want to know.
You are developing an excellent archive of early films which are accessible to internet plebs like us.
You are providing a real service and it is very valuable. I will be showing some of these movies to my kids when they are old enough to appreciate them - especially those showing the steam trains.
Kudos to you and thank you.

Start was just goofy, cut away engine is really good for explaining how an engine works for someone that doesn't know *think female*.

These old clips are too cool. Very informative. Doubt something like this would fly today. Your average driver couldn't care less. Which is sad really.

One thing I learned since moving to Arizona, is that you don't call radiator fliud; anti-freeze. It's known as coolant. Got the strangest looks there for awhile.
Another good one Cleaner. Thanks for sharing.

I learned all of this shit at 17, over-maintained all my 12 cars til death including the ex'es. I did not want to drive the car if i did not know how to fix them. Call me Sheldon then, i learned it all. Modern cars need an oil change until they die, then fuck all, buy another. And FFS read the reports first. Ford or US, no no NO!

I agree. Cast iron blocks and heads are a clue to longevity.
Everything else is just disposable.
