Calder Valley Search and Rescue Team scrambled nine volunteers to a rural
hillside after villagers reported the animal, a local mascot they called "Black
Rock Billie", had been "stuck" on a ledge for up to five days.
Rescuers lowered a rope down the hill to reach the goat, but as they got
within touching distance of Billie she unexpectedly jumped onto nearby rocks
and leapt ten feet down into a field.
Onlookers cheered as Billie trotted away unscathed.
