When China is ready to flex it's muscle they will put a tremendous strain on all their trading partners in the region. Eventually Australia and so many other countries will have to decide between their largest trading/economic partner and their security/largest military ally..

@DirtyUncleBerty - if you haven't noticed, China is gearing up to take the role of a super power in your region.. If you believe they are a peaceful lot and can be trusted to be fair with Australia then you're probably right and you should cut your military ties with the USA.

China feels hemmed in because they have no friends. Like russia, they tend to cozy up to despots shunned by the developed nations.

Fuck all this shit, we don't need all your American bullshit here in our country, china is concerned just like 95% of Australians are. Fucking bullshit, Gillard and all the fat cats at the top make their money but then years down the track we are still stuck with a country filled with troops, battleships, bombed out test areas and fucking Halloween. No one even voted for Gillard!

With China investing so much into Australia and is also our biggest trading partner why would they want to spoil such prosperity? I am more worried about the US, every corner of the globe they seem to go there is trouble, America is only here for her own interests it couldn't give two fucks about Australia.
