I just thought this was a good example of what passes for a journalist these days. Chris Matthews immediately goes into some kind of defense mode over a certain response.
So my question to everybody is this:
Does having and watching 24/7 cable news networks inform or misinform people more? Or has it just destroyed what was left of main stream journalism by turning news into talking heads and opinionated commentary? Take for example, the fact that large portions of our population now tune to a comedy channel to get their news. I assume its because we've gone so far down that road that people can't tell the difference between *real* information vs bias, persuasion, manipulation, and/or personal opinions.
Louis Black said it best: Where is the "news" news?

What I find interesting...is that no one in this country had heard about that stupid video...yet people in some 3rd world country where 100 people have access to the internet, all of a sudden are up in arms over it and launch a 6 hour attack?? That really bothered me as well. When I first saw the trailer everybody was blaming it on I literally triple checked to make sure I was watching the right thing. It was so laughably stupid and completely unbelievable that I kept thinking some youtube spammer was trying to pass off some video they made that afternoon to take advantage of the media frenzy and get a few bucks in advertising cash.
