Yet another extremely vintage educational video used to torture american school children in the 1970's. This particular one discusses the consequences of joking and practical jokes and how they're not always funny and how the result is not always the expected one.
Some historical notes: Although this is in english, certain phrases and concepts will no doubt appear alien to you. As an example: The family has a table in their kitchen. The mother feeds the children something called 'breakfast' at this table and the male child answers the gift of food using the now no longer common phrase 'thank you'.
This 'thank you' was a colloquialism used in olden days as both a way of stating gratitude as well as a common form of conversational courtesy. Courtesy, likewise a dead concept, is something you'll have to figure out on your own.
The video also shows children walking, yes WALKING, to school alone. DO NOT BE ALARMED! This was at a time when people had many more children and could afford to lose a few along the way.
More in part two.

Speaking as someone who grew up in the 60s-70s, I approve of both the video and commentary. I even remember that goofy mobile on a spring being at Spencer's Gifts. Additionally, I'll have you know that I imprisoned my offspring and sentenced them to something I like to term "homeschool", where they learned all of these antiquated notions such as courtesy. However, I spared them the flared bottoms, funky hairstyles and outlandishly patterned clothing. Polyester is still forbidden in More..
