Epileptic Describes Symptoms Then Endures Massive Seizure
My heart goes out to this dude. I can only imagine what a burden it must be to live with this disorder. The great thing is that it seems like he has a really loving, supportive family to help him through.

I've had approximately 10 seizures until I figured out what was wrong. In my case, it was simply being extremely dehydrated... I would never drink water. For years I was told to take that damn Dilantin (anti-seizure med)... which I didn't want to take because the seizures were far and few between. But guess what the anti-seizure medication did to me... It caused me to have osteoporosis in my late 30's (and I'm a male). Every time I was coming out of a seizure I was extremely thirsty... and I ass More..

I never knew that dehydration is just one of the causes.Thank you for enlightening me.

@Zeb - Well... dehydration was never officially considered the cause by doctors... it was my own assumption. Every time I came out of them I was extremely thirsty, but thought that was a product of the seizure. The last seizure I had was three years ago and I was sick with a high fever. Of the 10 seizures I had, three of them happened when I was sick. But after that last one I thought, perhaps me being dehydrated is the reason this is happening. I had been off Dilantin for over a year at that po More..

Notice the dog seemed to know something was going on well before he seized.

@torgis I noticed the same thing. There are dogs that are trained to anticipate seizures in epileptics. I don't think this is one of those but he seems to be a natural.

@torgis To be fair though, even I could see something was up. The man as obviously experiencing a lot of anxiety. You don't need to be a dog to pick up on that.

I pray that they one day find a cure of some sort to help these extreme cases of epilepsy. It hurts me to see a fellow human being suffer like that. I pray to god to give him strength. May god be with you brother.

He's blessed to have such a great family. They say some dogs can tell when a seizure is about to come on. My heart breaks for this young man!

Can't watch the video or even look in the guys face. At 8 years old I watched my older brother go into a grand mal seizure at the dinner table. He disappeared as his chair tipped rearward and crashed to the floor. Took away a hefty bit of innocence and the image is forever burned into my mind. He had hundreds since and died at 42.
