  • I had already clicked into the video when I saw the volume warning.

In an instant - a flash of thoughts rained through my sleepy mind. I had been playing loud music for my son earlier - "The volume must still be up."

    My eyes widened.

As my shitty local cable based internet began buffering the video, I flung the chair out from under me - sending it cruising backward across the room and slamming itself into a shelf of dvd's causing them to go crashing all over the floor in a slow mot More..

  • the real error was with the driver with the blown tire. When a steering tire blows the trick is NEVER brake but to step on the gas, drive along until it is clear, foot off the accelerator then allow the truck to come to a stop without using the brake. By giving it gas you can regain control. Braking will cause you to lose further control more quickly as was demonstrated. Obviously this trucker never took defensive driving courses.

  • I have tried to find out unsuccessfully in Lithuania media if it was a fatal collision. The location is Poland. Possibly Poland - Lithuania border area.
0:02 Green Sign (Village)on the right side of the road is used in Poland, Lithuania has Blue one.
0:05 just before collision a yellow colour background sign appears which also used in Poland. Lithuania has white one
The tanker passes a scene has some Polish text painted on it
Dash cam truck driver and other one on the radio definitely talk Lithu More..

    • @MoonShine I heard "kurva" (sounds like "koodva" which is polish. They seem to use it as a expression for anything.

    • @wurstwurstwurst the word "kurwa (kurva)" is used in Poland and Lithuania most. Also in Hungary. Sometimes you can hear Russians and Ukrainians using that word as well but its not a common thing.

    • @wurstwurstwurst

"Kurwa" means whore! But they tend to use that for anything which goes wrong. Like US ppl say "fuck" to anything.

    • @MoonShine Thanks for the research my friend! This is what we need, people who live in the area, or at least close enough to know the traffic rules and how to read traffic signs. That helps us a lot in investigating further.
It's sad that it's so very rare to find an interesting post and with decent translation. We will never know how it all ended. A big piece of the story is missing... And, taking a wild guess, maybe 20% of liveleak videos in history?

That would be worse than book burnings fr More..

  • I find it amazing how quickly the dash cam vehicle (obviously a semi) came to a standstill. Keeping your vehicle in good technical condition pays off.

    • @Marbus you can take care of your vehicle as good as possible, doesn't help if there are guys driving with worn out tires...

    • @BCAA

Actually it does help... if you need your brakes and tires to prevent yourself from being hit by a retarded driver and they're not in good conditions you probably would have some disadvantage...

    • @BCAA This video proves you semi-wrong. The driver in front couldn't do anything about it, but the dash cam driver could.
A car in good condition is not an unfailable shield, but a good insurance.

As you can see on the video, the mini truck didn't do a proper maneuver, he stepped on the brake and tried to turn right... he was suposed to Dodge the incoming truck by just turning right...

  • Right side of the road = left hand drive. Definitely dead. As they teach in defensive driving courses- "Aim for open road." I'd rather try my luck with the gully than with the front of a truck.

Witnessed a situation this weekend.. guy with a BRAND NEW truck was not following at a safe distance when he ran over a CHAIR in the highway.... did not SEE to move over quick enough because he was following too closely to the car infront of him. Ouchhhhh...
