1:12 in an M-16 you are ALWAYS going to have carbon in that damn flash hider and muzzle unless you want to sand blast it clean. tSo that's something they get everybody on i guess. Nothing's ever right, is it? In the Marines or in life.

@Eva_Destruction no you can get it out of the compensator, with a punch or any type of pick. Also 50 or q-tips will get it done with clp as well. My firt job in the Marines was an armorer, so I inspected 1000's of weapons. It became boring, so I lat moved to MP/K9.

@Eva_Destruction But i'll add in bootcamp, they know they will get you on those secret spots on the weapon at least the first 2 times, which is what they want. :)
