Decision likely to heat up an already intense presidential campaign for the May 23-24 elections - Hazem Salah Abu Ismail, a religious leader, former ember of parliament, has been promoting a radical agenda that makes members of his own MB party shudder. His agenda includes the strict implementation of Islamic law, the banning of “promiscuous beach tourism,” the banning of alcohol and the rehabilitation of the religious school system.

Egypt's Administrative Court of State Council on Wednesday evening said that mother of Islamist candidate for Egypt's presidency Hazem Salah Abu Ismail did not get the American nationality, and confirmed that it is 100% Egyptian did not get any other nationality
The court confirmed that the Islamist candidate has all rights to run for presidential elections.
Hazem Abu Ismail is a 50-year-old lawyer-turned-preacher with a large following of enthusiastic supporters, particularly from the country's ultraconservative Salafi movement.
Hazem Salah Abu Ismail, a religious leader, senior member of the Muslim Brotherhood, lawyer and former Member of Parliament, who in the past few months has been promoting a radical religious agenda, which includes the strict implementation of Islamic law, the banning of “promiscuous beach tourism,” the banning of alcohol and the rehabilitation of the religious school system.
Abu Ismail is no small challenge for the Muslim Brotherhood, who are running a public relations campaign in the United States, meeting with senior officials in the administration and with members of the American business community, and whose leaders are releasing statements assuring the world that they intend to keep to the Camp David agreements and to their supporters presenting a strong opposition to the military council.
On the other hand, they must appeal to their public and explain where exactly their religious agenda is hiding. The result is that al-Shate announced this week that he intendeds to establish an organization dedicated to the supervision of morality, not a morality police per se, rather an administration dedicated supervising the implementation of Islamic Sharia law.

From the outside he seems to have some great intentions.
Muslims being forced to serve alcohol for already intoxicated foreigners is far from a pleasure. I know some who have worked in 'tourist' industry in 'muslim countries'. It is bad.

@Rayyaan
Do you want Egypt to impose Sharia laws...?
Don't you think it will be the end of modern Egypt?

I will vote for him and most of Egyptians :)
and if the military council try to remove him by force or by fabricated documents, it will be a bloody Islamist revolution .

If egyptians are stupid enough to elect this dipshit then they will have made the choice to isolate themselves and damage any hope for the better life they've been fighting for. That's their choice to make.
