I love how nearly everyone including CNN label this item as "Cops taser man for jaywalking", as though jaywalking is the cause for which the cops resorted to tasering him. "Yeah, he's jaywalking, let's sneak up behind him and taser him for that."

He's not being tasered in response to his jaywalking. He's not even being tasered for failing to show his ID; he would simply be arrested for that. He's being tasered because he's resisting that arrest; resisting quite actively, as shown in the video.

Thankfully no one was aware of his concealed handgun, for which he has a proper permit, else his resistance might have been met with different force. Thankfully his friend the camera operator, who was carrying a concealed handgun, a knife, brass knuckles and pepper spray (and didn't have a permit) didn't bring anything but her camera into the scuffle, either.
