Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Conference Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu on Sunday strongly condemned the Zionist regime's crimes against the Palestinian nation.
Addressing an OIC extraordinary session, held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, being on Iran's proposal, Ihsanoglu said economic siege of Gaza Strip, cutting food and medicine supplies to the region and closing main crossings have put lives of thousands of innocent people at stake.
He said the Zionist regime has closed blocked all aid donations to the region and intends to assassinate Palestinian leaders in the Palestinian territories, which are against internationally-accepted laws and norms.
Pakistani Foreign Minister, Inam ul Haque, who is the periodic chairman of the OIC Executive Committee, too condemned the Zionist regime's brutality in Gaza, saying siege of Gaza with a population of 1.5 million is against the UN charter and other international conventions.
Haque said the Zionist regime's aggressions and occupation are the main cause of insecurity and instability in the Middle East.
He called on the UN Security Council and so-called human rights organizations to fulfill their duty before a human catastrophe takes place in the region.
