Daytona Beach police are looking for a 17-year-old accused of choking a pregnant woman, kicking a puppy into the street, and throwing another dog into the road.

Jarred
Scott Poole is wanted on charges of aggravated battery on a pregnant
woman and felony cruelty to animals, stemming from an incident that
occurred Sunday at a home on Ridgewood Avenue.Daytona
Beach police said Poole was involved in an altercation with Jasmine
Avance, who is about six months pregnant and engaged to the teen's
brother.



According to a police report,
Pool picked up Avance's two-month-old Chihuahua puppy and "dropped
kicked" it into North Ridgewood Avenue.Avance picked the puppy
out of the street and put it on her porch, but Poole then grabbed her
pit-bull and threw that dog into the road. The pit-bull returned to the
house, momentarily.The police report said Avance yelled at Poole for how he treated the dogs,
and at that time, he climbed over the railing of her porch and threw
the Chihuahua puppy into the median of North Ridgewood Avenue.As Avance yelled at Poole, he grabbed her by the arm, pushed her against the house and choked her, the report said.

The pit-bull ran into the road after the Chihuahua puppy.

While
in the street, the pit-bull was struck by a passing truck. A witness
saw the pit-bull get up and run away, but police could not locate the
dog.The Chihuahua was taken to an emergency animal hospital, where it was euthanized.

Poole
ran away from the scene. Police said they contacted Poole's father, who
said he would notify police when he was able to locate his son. Anyone with information on Poole's whereabouts is asked to call Daytona Beach police at 386-671-5217.
