I LOVE IT WHEN THINGS COME TOGETHER
Loading the player ...
There are no computer graphics or digital tricks in this two-minute video. Everything that you see happened in real time exactly as you see it. The recording required 606 takes and in the first 605 takes there always was something, that didn't work. It was necessary for the recording team to redo the set-up time after time. It took several weeks working day and night to achieve this effect. The commercial cost 6 million dollars and it took 3 months to finish, including the engineering design of the sequence

I'd love to hear the reason that the tires near the beginning are propelling themselves "uphill."
Not exactly amazing, and it's an old ad. A neat watch but I don't believe for a second that this was not altered.

@Foxxie
They have a weight inside them balanced at the top. So they "tip" forward only 1/2 revolution.

@Foxxie
Exactly! There is no way those tires roll up hill like that. Also take a look at that little ball flying at the 1:02 mark, clearly CGI

@LickMyDuck
Nothing tips forward up a hill without being powered by something besides kinetic energy. That is physically imposssible

@Blklight I saw that too, definitely inconsistent with the video! Framerate does not match!

I just couldn't believe that tires can roll up a hill like that, it looks unreal, it's amazing how physics can make things like that happen.

If 6 million can do this then Give NASA 600 BILLION dollar yearly instead of 15 billion and we would be building a city in another galaxy!

So the tires roll UP a ramp at :27 sec?

@furious1 Possible if there are weights hidden inside the tires at the top. The overall center of gravity of the tire gets lower as it rolls up the ramp.
