It is pretty big system, usualy used on ships. Google "phalanx" and "CIWS". It is possible to mount it on vehicle but there are beter AAA tanks aviable.

What goes up does come down. Not very safe if you're in an urban environment. You would potentially be killing your own soldiers and civilians miles away.

What goes up does come down. Not very safe if you're in an urban environment. You would potentially be killing your own soldiers and civilians miles away.
uhhhh duh?? The gun is shooting 100% tracer rounds... hear the hundreds of popping noises before and after the loud explosion thud? tracer rounds burn up in the air (by exploding) --- they hit the ground like fireworks do... not like bullets

You hear the popcorn sound? The rounds are self destructing after a few seconds of flight if they fail to hit the target.

Its not AAA. Its Anti rocket/anti mortar. A regular AA gun fires way to slowly to hit a mortar the size of an large orange within the few seconds it has before shi.t hits the fan...

Got two of them... you can see the two flashes as 20mm rounds impact the mortar rounds... two quick flashes right at the start.
