More Chicago Police Officers were killed by gunfire this year than any other police agency in the nation. The city also boasts one of the highest violent crime rates in the country, with 1 in 89 residents being victims of violent crime last year.

  • If I couldn't have my guns, I would not live there. Here in Idaho we have very few home invasions, because the would be thieves know they will get their asses blown away if they try.

    • The reason Idaho doesn't have those problems is because it's Idaho... and the fact Chicago itself has nearly triple the population of your whole state.

Massive cities with bigger populations than some states have different and bigger problems than small towns y'know.

I may not agree with everything, but I seem to remember people saying how states rights is important so they can make laws depending on their unique situations, yet those people cheered when a federal court struck down those laws.

    • Yeah but the simple problem is when you take away guns from honest people, the only ones that have them are criminals, period. Those laws in Chicago were probably written after Al Capone.

    • I completely agree. If Illinois residents want to turn their state into a lawless liberal shit hole, it's their right.

    • Not anymore, since the 2nd Amendment was incorporated to the states via McDonald... now they have to suck it up while crime decreases.

    • It wasn't this decision that did it.
The supreme court ruled decades ago that constitutional protections over-ruled state laws.

  • Hypocrite. Send him to jail for life like his kind does to law abiding citizens who need to defend themselves. What a cesspool these liberal havens have degenerated into. I trust their failures are measurable and will be proved by science and thus never repeated..

  • Glad I moved away from Chicago this year...lived there my whole life...what a corrupt, expensive, unfriendly place to live. Highest sales tax in the country, high property taxes, and corrupt politicians. The city itself is beautiful but the rest of the crap brings it down. Good riddance.
