Laughable Deposition Testimony (Raise Your Right Hand...Your Other Right Hand)
When taking a person's deposition, how credible they come across is just as important as the actual responses they give (and sometimes more important than their words). Not knowing your right hand from left is not a good start to the questioning.
Not sounding like you are speaking much English (despite intending to) does not really help the side who offered up the witness, and can actually result in all testimony being deemed inadmissible by the court. I dont know the facts of this case (maybe there are simply no other witnesses willing or available).

I forgot to mention that I extend my sympathies if you have to deal with people like this on a regular basis...which I think you've already stated.
One lawyer mentions that he's from Jackson which leads me to believe this deposition was taken in Mississippi, a state that is notorious for its low education levels. A quick Google reveals them hanging tough at #48 out of 50. What the hell did Nevada and Arizona do to be ranked lower than Mississippi!?!?
