Blue Angel Parting the Sea on a sneak pass. Here's some local footage of the Blues near my home tearing up the skies of Pensacola Beach Florida this week.Footage is of two days ago and yesterday.Pensacola is the home base of the Blue Angels so to see them in the sky is nothing new to those of us on the Emerald Coast.A line of strong thunderstorms and waterspouts cancelled the show yesterday.Check out the photos below the videos. The Blue Angels Flight Demonstration Team is part of the US Navy.Jets are piloted by both US Naval Aviators and US Marine Combat Aviators. The undisputed Kings of the skies.
As Always, Enjoy.

That was no sonic boom, nor mach speed. The foggy effect is a vapor cone.

I was going to go, but it was raining hard, before the 2 hr drive. Thanks for posting.

the blue angels are awesome, always. I went to pensacola about 20 years ago not knowing they had a show scheduled. what was so awesome is they practice their show 2 times a day, so we got to see it about 5 times. my girlfriend thought I did some sophisticated planning to make our trip special. i was richly rewarded for good luck. thank you, blue angels.

Hats Off to Them!

Great video, but the planes weren't braking the sound barrier. If the plane was exceeding mach, you certainly wouldn't have had to ask whether they heard the sonic boom. Its called a 'boom' for a very legitimate reason.

I've been lucky enough to see the Blue Angles about four times in my life and all were memorable. Cream of the crop no doubt! The Canadian's have a great display team as well. Thanks FR

@marc1921 No doubt, I saw a Canadian pilot fly the FA/18 at Ellington about twelve years ago and he had unbelievable control of the aircraft. My son and I got to meet him after his flight and he was a very fine young gentleman.

wow, they don't normally break the sound barrier in their P'cola shows. that was a lucky treat. the military is constantly flying up and down Santa Rosa Island, going back and forth from Pensacola NAS to Eglin. Swimmers wouldn't believe how many sharks these pilots see swimming near these people during every flight.
