  • It won't matter if she does. The BP spill did far, far, FAR less damage than predicted. Most of the real damage was done to fisheries, and very little has ever been allocated to compensate for that. When Obama extorted that money from BP, he basically created a slush fund.

  • Steal? The state should be free to use the money BP paid however they want, and I'm willing to bet the republican governor of louisiana and the residents of the state agree with her. Would you prefer this be something the federal government pays for?

    • @picklethepug the State should have used the some of the money for coastal restoration and local ocean cleanup with the rest being distributed to the businesses and individuals affected by the spill..IMO..

      Millions of at the gas pumps will pay it...we need gas so we just hand over the money.

      BTW, my beach needs sand some say...we gotta protect the $3,000,000 dollar houses...you OK with paying more at the pump for that?

      $3,000,000 Beach house? Got some news for you, he who has never been to Louisiana. There are no "beaches" in Louisiana. I spent part of my childhood there. It goes swamp, marsh, mudflat, ocean. And the median income of plaquemines parish is about 38,000/year. It's not the fucking Hamptons. The BP money has been sitting in escrow for years now.
