@skyhawk53 No, she didn't chicken out, she was actually engaging the perp the whole time.
But she did what many without training do, close with the target instead of stepping back to safety. A firearm is not more or less effective within a few feet. But the extra distance she could have used could have been the difference between her getting stabbed and/or lost control of the gun, or stepping out of reach of the perp.

@CieL And we, are forced NOT to be able to defend ourselves against any murderous thug. Not only we are not allowed to bear arms but any other means of defense will probably give us a criminal record as well. Kudos to the Americans for they know how to deal with things.

I dont' know why all the complaints about her NOT shooting him.
SHe achieved her objective with no one being hurt.
For some reason,, people think killing a robber is fun. The truth is, for a normal person, having the fact that you killed someone hanging over your head is not a good thing - even if the person was wrong. Killing is an act where there is no second chance.

The "people" we are discussing are ALREADY DOING SOMETHING BAD, life-threatening even. They are taking all the guess-work and guilt out of the equation for me, as soon as they attempt armed robbery.
