Drone over Israel, a senior Iranian military commander says the Tel Aviv regime must expect hundreds of other drones with which it has no clue how to deal.
“Zionists must expect hundreds of other drones in 25 different models with new flying systems that they won’t know how to confront them,” Commander of the Basij Forces Brigadier General Mohammad Reza Naqdi told reporters on Friday.
The infiltration of the drone into the airspace of the occupied lands exposed only the smallest part of the power of Hezbollah and the resistance and dealt a heavy blow to the Israeli regime, he added.
Hezbollah recently sent a radar-evading drone deep into the Israeli airspace.
The operation code-named Hussein Ayub saw Hezbollah’s drone fly hundreds of kilometers into the Israeli airspace and getting very close to Dimona nuclear plant without being detected by advanced Israeli and US radars, Hezbollah Secretary General Nasrallah said during a televised speech on October 11.
On Sunday, Iran’s Defense Minister Brigadier General Ahmad Vahidi confirmed that the radar-evading drone had been developed by Iran.
“Given the Zionist regime’s frequent incursions into the Lebanese airspace, we see it as the natural right of Lebanon’s Hezbollah to fly its drone above the Occupied Territories,” the minister added

@MrG The US military doesn't like fighting guerillas. Look at what happened to Saddam's army in both gulf operations...it took Iran 8 years to push Iraq back, it took the US 2 weeks. The US would probably have a bigger problem with Hezbollah than with Iran, any war with Iran would be over pretty quickly.

Countries like China and Russia stand by Iran, but only because they are slowly losing their other middle-east allies. I highly doubt that they would go to war over Iran; if they would, then they would have gone to war over Syria too.

its impossible to say how soon the first drone was detected and whether it was of any use to hezbollah. Israel claims it was tracking it since it was over the Mediterranean, Iran/Hezbollah claim much later. Israel says they shot it down later so they could recover the pieces, but a drone that small taking a missile hit from an F-16, I doubt there was much to recover. The real question is...was the drone transmitting data? or did it need to return to base in order for data to be extracted? impo More..
