In the first video, the Coast Guard rescued four surfers caught Thursday in a riptide in the Devils Punch Bowl, between Depoe Bay and Newport. HH-65C Dolphin helicopter crews from Coast Guard Air Facility Newport and Air Station North Bend, Ore. were dispatched to the area and two 47-foot motor lifeboat crews were launched from Station Depoe Bay to assist. In the following video, the Coast Guard rescued an 11-year-old boy and his father caught in the surf near Pacific City, on Friday, March 26. An HH-65C Dolphin helicopter crew hoisted the pair from the water and delivered them to Tillamook County General Hospital in Tillamook. U.S. Coast Guard video by Group/Air Station North Bend.
