A report written by a delegation of British lawyers on the treatment of Palestinian children under Israeli military law
*A delegation of UK lawyers criticizes Tel Aviv for its mistreatment of Palestinian child detainees in military custody.

In September 2011 a UK delegation of 9 lawyers, from the fields of human rights, crime and child welfare, travelled to Israel and the Occupied Palestinian Territories to assess the treatment of Palestinian children under Israeli military law. The objective of the group was to produce an independent report founded on the principles of the rule of law and children’s rights. A substantial and balanced body of relevant information was collated. The delegation met with various key parties, including Israeli Government departments and the military, Israeli and Palestinian NGOs, UN agencies, former Israeli soldiers and Palestinian children. They also visited the military courts at Ofer Prison outside Jerusalem and observed proceedings involving children.

      There's a correlation between low view count and lack of video. It means, if there are no videos attached, 99.5% of LL are uninterested.

      Didn't you know the US gives quite a bit of money to Jordan in order for them to "protect" the borders with Israel?

      You would think that Jordan is protecting the borders against Israelis coming to attack, NOPE, they are protecting the borders from Arabs wanting to go into Israel to attack them.

      Once the money stops flowing from the West, Jordanian King will be ousted by the people.

      the tape shows the soldier hiding and waiting for him. yes there could have been a group of ppl throwing rocks, but why wait and hide for such a small child. could they not have went after some of the bigger ppl. and again even if he were throwing rocks and that was the last kid to catch....do the right thing and take him to his parents and inform them of the consequences next time he is caught....i think kicking him would provoke him to continue throwing rocks out of vengeance

  • It's well known within the West Bank and Gaza that the IDF are notorious for night operations, usually with the children being dragged out of bed, guns on the mother, father, and any sibling that is wondering what's going on.

    Imagine 3am in the morning and chaos from a broken down door, as a father I would be split into two, one half wanting to protect my family/child and the other half wanting to respect the law. It's a very precarious situation over there.
