Christopher Hitchens Interviewed on France 24 (Part 1 of 2)
This is in response to some videos that were posted Showing edited clips of Hitchens v Galloway. I feel that using Mr Hitchens as a poster boy is riddled with potential dangers unless you know exactly what he stands for.
Hitchens and Galloway are 2 peas in a pod. They are both highly intelligent and both love an argument. I just feel that some people who applaud Hitchens would be less appreciative of his views expressed here.
This was broadcasted on February 7, 2009 on France 24 English.

I'm not concerned with Hitchens & Galloway but "God is not great" was a dense read, but still presented facts and made great arguments. Religion is poison.

Communism is a political religion.
Darwinism is about modification through descent.
Religion is belief without proof.

I was hoping you'd find the stuff about Harun Yahya getting Dawkins' website blocked in Turkey, which would lead you to finding out about all the website blocking he's been able to get enacted. And lead you to all the other shit about him and his shenanigans. Aw fuckit, just read his Wikipedia, it touches on most.

"under God" wasn't there until the 1950's.
Just sayin'.

I wouldn't preach.
Buddha preached a religion devoid of authority, ritual, speculation, tradition, intense self-effort, and the supernatural.

However, unlike Buddha Jesus did promote a supernatural the Creator of the Universe. As such it seems he too was suffering, as Buddha would say: from self-delusion.
Which is why I am neither Buddhist nor Christian.

What he says very much coincides with my own views.

How is Hitchens talking about spirituality?

his book debunks spirituality, therefore he talks about the most popular spiritual books.
I fail to see the irony red pill.

Methinks you need to look up the definition of ironic.
