Never owned one but hopefully I can one day rescue a Greyhound. Whippets are probably faster in the 100 meters though. Greyhounds would be the best at 200-400. My Plott hound is fast as a Whippet but just for about 50 meters. I'm taking him to the track this weekend to find out.
