Today I take a tour of the neighborhood slated for destruction and the planned replacement of for sale Modular homes imported from China. This will not create local jobs. I am happy to announce no one ate the food, the two young guys in charge were really embarrassed when I called them out about admittedly living with their parents because of the economy and basically admitting they couldn't afford the houses that are proposed to be built. Also they stopped putting complaints on the board after I told them how insulting it was. I said a few more things later in the evening. I will post a video of all the speakers tomorrow once I edit it. I will also provide a link to tomorrow article in the local paper with the video. In the mean time check out the article written today about last nights meeting, it gives a great summary of all events including the meeting and using one of my quotes. If you missed last nights video here is a link, watch it first.

Are these plantation houses all private homes or rentals? If they are private homes then this sounds like an eminent domain outrage of the sort that was considered unconstitutional until the Supreme Court's notorious Kelo decision seven years ago.

The Chinese are doin the same thing in many Pacific Islands....
Investing massive dollars so that the local govt overlooks the consequences.
It has started in small nations like Tonga and they , as it seems , are intending to overtake "All" Pacific nations in this manner.
They are Ruthless.
It take a man to take a stand. But A Man needs to have the Community behind him in order to effect a change of vision in the local Govt.
Dude, You have to go have a chat with some local politic More..

A Melbourne family is very happy living where they do, near the Melbourne airport (according to Jane Kennedy, it's "practically their back yard"). However, they are forced to leave their beloved home, by the Government and airport authorities. 'The Castle' is the story of how they fight to remain in their house, taking their case as far as the High Court. Written by Simon Quinn <G.Qui More..
