      Commandos from navy are some kind of navy seals a little team pretty much specialised.
      For Armée de terre the Brigade des forces spéciales terre witch is around 2000 people specialized for ex in intel in hostile environment
      We do have "proper" special forces military.

      It's so weird that so many americans are convinced they won those 2 wars by themselves.

      In WW1, France and the British empire took the bulk of the fighting (3 millions dead, 6 millions wounded). The US arrived 8 months before the end of the war and only had a support role.

      The US involvement was bigger in WW2 but you can't say the US "saved" Europe ignoring the other countries (some of them involved since 1939). Very few americans know that 20 millions soviets died dest More..

      Well actually the US did save Europe, but not militarily.
      We saved Europe through our industrial power and our factories and the Lend-Lease agreement.
      Joseph Stalin himself said the the allies would have lost had it not been for America's factories and supplies.
      But you are totally correct that our armies did not save europe.

    For what reason France enter in war against Afghanistan ?? For the stupid USA that for decades explored ME nations, support terrorists, dictatorial regims and wars against the ME population and suffered an attack for this??

    Like UK, Germany, Spain and many European nations, France was never a target for these terrorist groups. Now they are .... and with reason.
