    the rig is a lincoln invertec 350 pro we were set at 130a and 60v (set on soft stick)

    Im attending a master welding course at Tulsa Welding School...
    7 mos (700 hrs) 5 hrs a week classroom the rest is hands on its very very intense with top notch instructors...

    yeah can be a big prob..we learn not to embed slag by having to grind it out and re weld..
    you learn quick that way believe me...LOL

  • Nice weld. I always regret leavng a gas welding course halfway through the final piecees because I found another job. Theres something really satisfying about making stuff out of metal.

  • Sorry but it doesn't look like a proper root or first pass, Shouldn't it be with smaller rod ? Looks good, Can you tell every1 in the class that if they fail on the flat to please leave and never weld anything structural Thx.........

    lol once in welding class my buddy was doing some overhead under a car and a yery small piece of slag went in his ear down to the drum.he was running around yelln and smackn his head.messed him up for a while..

    the placement rate for the school is 85% @ 39k a year so looks pretty good given the recent sour economy...
