Halloween party shooting kills teenage girl

HOUSTON – An early-morning shooting outside of a Halloween party killed one teenager and landed another one in the hospital Saturday in southeast Houston.
Police said officers responded to a call near the intersection of Concord and Chicago around 2:00 a.m. and found an 18-year-old male and 17-year-old female who had been shot.
According to police, the victims were in the backseat of a pickup truck parked outside of a Halloween house party when someone passed by and opened fire on the vehicle.
Both victims were taken to the hospital, where the female later died. The male was in stable condition.
Police said there were no suspects, as no one at the party saw the shooting.
Authorities said, however, another female teen’s ex-boyfriend had earlier showed up to the party and threatened to shoot the place up after they got into an argument.
Police said they did not know if he was responsible for the shooting, but planned on questioning him.
