8th grade teacher arrested for selling ecstasy

DENVER - Police say an eighth grade teacher was arrested earlier
this week after tying to sell the drug ecstasy to an undercover officer.
Denver Police Det. John White says 31-year-old Jordan
Marcowitz was arrested on Dec. 7 for possession of controlled substance
after a sting.
Marcowitz is a teacher at Shadow Ridge Middle School in the Adams 12 School District, according to White.

He is on administrative leave and has been with the district since August 2007.

White says Marcowitz faces charges of possession and distribution of a controlled substance.
