Accient Veterans Highway in a snowstorm.

One of many accidents in the area today due to the snow. A woman was taken to hospital from this single vehicle accident on Veterans Highway around 10:50am this morning not far from the Moncton International Airport . Moncton Fire Dept. responded to a call of a vehicle on its side with someone trapped. RCMP were on scene while 2 tow trucks retrieved the car. Snowing hard and high winds was blowing the snow onto a salted highway where people were driving the 110km speed limit then hitting a patch of snow causing alot of accidents , a multi vehicle accident on Trans Canada Highway 2 by Lower Mt. Rd had the highway blocked while first responders dealt with the injured, traffic was backed up 5km .District 11 RCMP 's were kept busy with other accidents on the same highway by Mapleton Road Exit with vehicles going off the Highway. Just the same busy day for District 4 RCMP with accidents from Scodouc to Sackville TCH 2.
