@CannabinolKid what does the NRA care about gun laws or crime stats in Australia? Besides which you can find these statistics from plenty of other information gathering agencies besides NRA. I'd believe the NRA before i believe ANYTHING from ANY government. There's just too much temptation to pencil whip the statistics into saying whatever the government wants the public to believe. The criminal has more rights than what we citizens have. We here in Germany are not allowed to own a firearm for the purpose of protecting ourselves. So I had to go out and shove out a shitload of money for video cameras around the outside of my home...Hire a damn security company to monitor my home while I am a way or a sleep so a criminal don't break in to my home...had to go out and purchase 2 German Shepherds, have them trained to protect us because the crime in Germany has risen.
